Mothercare recently launched its exclusive Mothercare VIP membership, offering a host of benefits such as discounts on all normal priced apparels and special invites to pre-sale events.  Not to be confused with being an exclusive/preferred member of Mothercare (to be an exclusive/preferred member entitling you to newsletters and promotions, registration is free online), being a VIP member has slightly more benefits.  Of course to qualify as a VIP member, you will need to spend a minimum of RM500 within 3 months and all applications are done in-store.

There is no mention of the terms and conditions with regards to renewal though, could it be that we need to spend another RM500 to renew the card?  As a preferred customer right now, I am already getting regular discounts in the form of postcards mailed to me, in addition to newsletters and even special birthday discounts.  Hence I am rather skeptical about how much MORE this VIP membership will offer?  Will spending the RM500 to qualify for the VIP membership be justifiable?
