April 23rd 2008 is World Book Day. And to commemorate this, MPH (both the online store and the brick & mortar store) is having a sale. In fact, the sale has been going on since April 15 and will end May 4 2008. Book lovers can enjoy a discount of 10% on selected book titles, whereas MPH Members will get them at 20% off. At the time of writing, the mphonline.com store has a total of 336 titles of books to choose from!

This year, I have decided to spend more wisely and more vigilantly on books, simply because I have realized that I didn’t fully utilize my book relief allocation to offset my taxable income last year. Buying books to satisfy the reader in me is definitely way better than paying taxes, and if I can reduce the tax I pay by doing so, however little that may be, it sure seems like a good idea to get those books!

By the way, mphonline.com has revised its free shipping policy. The last time I shopped there, I got free shipping on a minimum purchase of RM80, but the minimum purchase for free shipping is now RM100. Still all right, I suppose, because the books are delivered right to your door step.
