Shopping for a Captured Memory?
A captured smile
A spontaneous kiss
A loving embrace
You don’t wanna ever miss
Often times we experience a moment
So special that we wished we could have it frozen right then and there
We wish time would stand still long enough for us to capture that special moment
But alas, we find that time and again moment after moment eludes us
And we are left with but a fleeting remembrance of them.

This is where Two Pixels Photography comes in…
Gorgeous pictures forever etched in your memories
Captured for eternity
Every picture a masterpiece
Every pixel a wondrous gem
I’m only hoping they will eventually spread their wings far enough to where I am staying…

Reviewing shopping sites: a new era unveiled
You know how sometimes you read reviews on shopping sites and you can’t for the life of you imagine what the site actually does or looks like, until you type the URL and get in to check it out for yourself?
Well, yesterday, I discovered something new: video reviews of shopping sites. Stemming from the all-new online video portal Playthat.TV, the Webshopping section caters specifically to VIDEO reviews of the hippest and hottest online shopping stores in Malaysia. Granted it is NEW, there are only 2 video review episodes now, but the reviews are done in a very straightforward manner and will give us a glimpse on what the website holds.

Each video lasts not more than 10 minutes, where the presenter candidly gives her personal opinion on the site she is reviewing and shares her choices of her personal favorite items on the site. There is also a brief run-through on how to order and pay.
It would be good if the review actually showed the process of purchasing and receiving the product, but I find that despite that, the video is enough to draw some interest to the viewer to visit the site concerned.
So if you are the sort that is too lazy to read reviews (too many words), this sort of video reviews would definitely suit you! Enjoy watching! And of course, happy shopping!

Going Bananas over Banana Republic
I’ll be the first to admit that over the past two weeks, I have been drawn to come back again and again to the Banana Republic outlet store at the nearby mall. The gorgeous tops and dresses they had sure played a big role in influencing my decision, and it was also all those signs outside screaming 40% off and 50% off!
But last week, after I made a purchase, I was given this card:

It is such an ingenious idea to get people to come back again to the store. With this card, every purchase of $25 entitles the holder to a chop. Collect 4 chops and you get 20% off your future purchase. So if a particular item is on 40% discount, with this card, you’ll get 40% + 20% (plus more chops on the card if our purchase is more than $25)!!!
Anyway..here’s where I stand right now:

I redeemed the first 20%, but I still have 2 more 20% offers unredeemed.
It looks like I won’t be able to use them anyway, because I will be leaving California soon
Is it any wonder why I’ll miss the shopping here?

Free Shipping for RuMe Bags
I don’t know about you, but if I can go shopping and do it in style AND at the same time be kind to the environment, I’m all up for it. I already own 2 of the Envirosax, and since I have been hearing nothing but rave reviews about the RuMe bags, I had been itching to try them out for myself.
So I grabbed my chance today and took advantage of the free shipping RuMe promotion offered by Tiny Tapir till the end of June. Yep, only a few more hours to go to enjoy this offer! But if you’re choosy like me, you had better check out the collection now, cuz I know I took a long time deciding which color/design to get from the entire collection of RuMes!
I can’t wait to give my bags (yup, I got TWO!) a trial run when I get back to Malaysia soon! You can be sure I’ll be reporting here soon after my experience with them!
Happy shopping everyone!

It pays to pay with PayPal
Here’s a really useful tip for all you shoppers out there: Pay with PayPal.
This is especially true if you are buying stuff from ebay. Most, if not all, of the ebay purchases via PayPal are protected by the Buyer Protection Clause, which protects the buyer with 100% of the original purchase price and shipping.
I had the rare opportunity of experiencing how this works just recently.
I had won bids on ebay for 4 books, but just before I paid for them, I saw that one of the books cost much less in my local Walmart. So I emailed the seller and asked her to remove the book from my invoice. I then paid her for the 3 books plus shipping and handling.
After a few days, when I did not receive word from the seller on whether the books had been shipped, I emailed her. This went on for days without any reply. And then suddenly I received an email from PayPal instructing me NOT to make payment to the seller because the listings for the items had been removed from ebay.
Well, since I had already made the payment, I proceeded to the PayPal Resolution Center to lodge a complaint and claim. PayPal immediately launched an investigation into the case, and emailed the seller with a period of one week to respond.
When no word was heard from the seller, the case was settled in my favor and the entire payment I made was refunded into my PayPal account.
So play it safe and pay with PayPal.
