Don’t you just hate it when they do that?

Late yesterday evening, after weeks of finalizing my shopping list at drugstore.com, I finally placed my order for a few products.  Three of the items I ordered were from the Yes to Carrots range.  I was curious to try out this brand and since drugstore.com had a promotion, I figured I might as well take advantage of it.

Then just today, when I logged into my drugstore.com account to check the status of my order, I almost fell off my chair when I discovered that they now had a Big BOGO Bonanza promotion and one of the items on promotion was the Yes to Carrots eye contour cream, which incidentally was one of the items I had ordered.

The eye cream (pictured above) is now on a Buy 1 Free 1 promotion till March 13 2009!  I simply could NOT believe my eyes!  It wasn’t even a Buy 1 get another for 50% off promo!  Dang!

So I did what any shopper in my kiasu position would have done.  I just sent a mail to the customer service folks to ask if they would so kindly add another one of the eye cream to my order free of charge.  After all, they ought to reward me for placing the order a good ONE day earlier, right?  Whatever happened to the adage “The early bird gets the worm”?

I am waiting with bated breath to see if they would oblige.
